Fay Zenoff is a nationally respected addiction recovery expert and advocate whose views, personal experiences and professional work have been the subject of articles and interviews in The New York Times, Bloomberg Business Week, National Public Radio News, to name a few. Since 2014, she has served as Executive Director of the Center for Open Recovery and has been the driving spirit behind the emergence of this virtual, social-impact, non-profit aimed at ending the stigma of addiction. She has been in recovery from addiction since 2007.
Over the course of her 25+ year career, Fay has worked in both the private and public sectors – in the fields of education, finance, public health, technology and consumer products. Her professional roles have included consultant, coach, private wealth manager, advancement and executive director for organizations including Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, Goodwill Industries, Select Quote, GAP, American Friends of The Weizmann Institute, BrandeisHillel Day School, Fibronics and Motorola. Fay has been an educator with CIGNA’s 2018 Substance Use Series; a panelist at a UCSF Medical School addiction education series; a keynote speaker for the 2018 California Society of Addiction Medicine Conference; and recipient of Constellation Behavioral Health’s Courage Award for her work in the field.
Fay graduated from Sarah Lawrence College with a BA degree, and from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University with an MBA degree.
