Geez, there are getting to be a lot of you out there. And that’s why I want to ask for your help.

I don’t think I’ve written directly to readers about TLNT since we celebrated our first birthday back in June 2011, but there are a few things I wanted to catch up on.

First, I need your help. If you really like TLNT — and I’m guessing you do if you’re reading this — I’d like to ask you to vote for TLNT in the About.com Readers’ Choice Awards for best Human Resources website. It’s really simple to vote, so go here to do so.

Why we need you to vote for TLNT

TLNT is up against some other websites that are pretty good — like our friends over at Fistful of Talent and the HR Bartender — and SHRM: We Know Next and HR Daily Advisor as well. Those are all great websites, but really, WE’RE kind of partial to TLNT.

If you are too, please go vote for us and tell your friends and colleagues to do so, as well.

What do we get if TLNT wins?

Nothing, as far as I know, except some bragging rights and the pride that comes from knowing that TLNT continues to make in-roads in the HR and talent management community when it comes to providing great news, trends, insights and analysis that makes a difference for our readers. So, please give TLNT your vote.

It’s clear we’re making great progress in that regard because there are just a lot more of you reading TLNT today than there were at the end of Year 1, or even last spring.

We’ve tripled our monthly traffic since last May, setting new monthly records last July, August, October, and January. This month (February 2013) will be our best yet — and it already is. We are going to break January’s record visitor traffic by a large margin.

Transform conference will return — in March 2014

And, the increases have been pretty large with 32 percent more visitors in January than we had in our previous all-time high month of October. February’s increase will be more of the same.

Clearly, the daily content at TLNT resonates with you, but I always love to get comments from readers about TLNT. So, feel free to drop me a note at any time about anything — suggestions, thoughts, gripes, even kudos. I love to hear it all.

You should also know that the TLNT Transform conference that we held last February in Austin, Texas will be coming back — but not until March 2014. Although Transform 2012 was a critical success, we needed to give ourselves more time to really craft the agenda and turn it into the very best conference on transformational HR and talent management anywhere.

So, Transform will be back next year in early March at the Omni Fort Worth Hotel. Make sure you watch TLNT for further details because we would love to have you there.

Thanks for supporting TLNT

Back in June 2011, on TLNT’s first birthday, I wrote,

“I am, by nature, an optimist. I always think that the best is yet to come. I think that is true for all we’re doing at TLNT. I’m happy you are here with us for the ride.”

Those words continue to drive me today, and they drive me to put together just the best information on HR and talent management that you can get anywhere.

My friend Mel Kleiman — he writes “Hiring Wisdom” that appears here at TLNT every Monday — has told me on more than one occasion that what he loves about TLNT is that he always finds something here that he can’t find anywhere else, and, that it is always interesting.

Hearing that makes me know that we’re on the right track with TLNT. I hope you think so too, and that you’ll vote for TLNT in the About.com Readers’ Choice Awards.

We’d love to win, and to know that you support what we’re doing here at TLNT, too.
