Have you read predictions that remote work will continue to be a thing in 2021?
I need to know more about this. When did this start happening? Why did people start working remotely? Is this really a trend? Do you know something I don’t? I’m so confused.
If my sarcasm didn’t come across just now, well, now you know my views on this. I’m so, so tired of people still talking about remote work as if it’s a new concept or one that is harder than rocket science to figure out.
Look, if your company is struggling to make remote work work, then your problems have nothing to do with remote work. They have everything to do with work. Period.
Remote work is no longer an experiment. It’s standard practice at many businesses. Whether it continues to be once the pandemic subsides remains to be seen. I’m not as convinced as other observers that today’s crisis has “changed everything forever,” as the saying goes. The upcoming year will hopefully yield greater insights into this.
